Terms of Service

Last updated: September 8, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Heyan House — our society and rent-management platform (web app, mobile app, and website at heyanhouse.in, app.heyanhouse.in, and the Heyan House apps). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Heyan House lets residents, committees, and landlords manage society/rent operations — maintenance dues and payments, receipts, and optional modules (visitor passes, community announcements/events, and maintenance requests) that a society may enable.

Accounts & roles

Payments

Maintenance dues and other charges are processed through our payment partner Razorpay. By making a payment you also agree to the payment processor's terms. Amounts, taxes, and dues are set by your society/landlord; Heyan House facilitates collection and issues receipts but is not a party to the underlying tenancy agreement. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by your society/landlord.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service — no unlawful, infringing, abusive, or fraudulent activity; no attempts to breach security, access data outside your role/society, or disrupt the service.

Privacy

Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Availability & disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heyan House is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees paid to us for the service in the preceding three months.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or where required by law. Certain records (e.g. financial/receipt data) may be retained as legally required.

Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at the service operator's registered location having jurisdiction.
